British Columbia High School Students

 As a British Columbia high school student, you should have the BC Secondary School Graduation Diploma including the program-specific prerequisites listed below. 

For all Engineering programs (Including IDS Dual Degree)
  • English 12 or English 12 First Peoples
  • Principles of Math 12 or Foundational Math 12 or Pre-Calculus 12
  • Calculus 12 
  • Physics 12
  • Chemistry 12    
With no prerequisite grade below 70% 
Recommended average:
 Low to Mid 80s


For Computer Science or Computer Security 
  • English 12 or English 12 First Peoples
  • Principles of Math 12 or Foundational Math 12 or Pre-Calculus 12
  • Senior-level math (Calculus 12 recommended) 
  • One additional Grade 12 academic subject  
  • For BSc and iBSc programs: the additional academic subject should be Physics 12 or Chemistry 12   
With minimum average of 75% on Math courses, with no Math grade below 65%  
Recommended average: Low 80s 


For Digital Media  
  • English 12 or English 12 First Peoples 
  • Senior-level math (with minimum grade of 75%) 
  • Two additional Grade 12 academic subjects 
Recommended average: High 70s 

For Earth & Atmospheric Science 
  • English 12 or English 12 First Peoples
  • Principles of Math 12 or Foundational Math 12 or Pre-Calculus 12
  • Calculus 12
  • Physics 12
Chemistry 12 strongly recommended for Atmospheric Science & Space Science streams 
Recommended average: High 70s
